Fabric & upcycling tips

Recommended fabrics:

  • Main fabric: Opt for a medium to medium-heavy fabric (220-230 g/m²) such as gabardine, twill or cotton velvet.
  • Lining: Opt for a fluid but resistant fabric, such as cotton poplin.

Ideas for creating the jacket using upcycling:

Thanks to its multi-panel construction, the Marie jacket is ideal for upcycling fabric. The cuffs, collar, and sleeves, for example, can be made from fabric scraps.

  • Lining: flowing shirt, light dress, vintage scarf
  • Jacket body: cotton curtain or patchwork of several jeans
  • Drawstring: reclaimed cord, fabric with custom finishes (beads, knots…)
