Upcycling - textile repurposing
Our approach
Upcycling is a recycling practice that involves repurposing a material into a product with higher added value. For us, this mainly means repurposing vintage curtains and sheets to give them a second life. These fabrics will be used to create our ready-to-wear and sewing collections.
Once purchased, our fabrics undergo a rigorous process before being offered for sale.
The process
Sorting and selecting fabrics
Every three months, we go to sorting centers that collect our textile waste: clothes, sheets, curtains and shoes that we want to get rid of.
From this waste, we select quality materials for you, mainly cotton sheets and curtains with unique and vintage patterns.
Fabric cleaning & reprocessing
At this stage, we put all the fabrics through the washing machine, then air-dry them to prevent damage. Next, we process them to remove linings, curtain rings, and other embellishments. Our goal: to transform them into genuine fabric remnants.
At this stage, we also measure each piece of fabric to determine its destination.
Destination selection
The fabrics are divided into two categories:
1. Our sewing kits
We select large lengths of fabric for our sewing kits in order to offer you kits in small and medium series.
2. Our vintage fabric sales
For single fabric coupons, we offer them on our website for a vintage fabric sale every first Saturday of the month.
Cutting
Fabric cutting to the correct dimensions for sewing kits in our partner ESAT or in our Bordeaux workshop.
Every quarter, we offer new fabrics on our website.
For unique and responsible projects, our kits are customizable.
The online launch
Finally, we're putting these vintage gems online so you can create a lovely project with them!
Upcycling is our means of expression.
An unconventional path that allows you to create while revitalizing what already exists. We invite you on this limitless adventure to dare, create, and reveal your true self.
