Fabric & upcycling tips

Recommended fabrics:

  • Outer fabric: Opt for a medium to heavy weight fabric (250-350 g/m²) in warp and weft, such as twill, denim or gabardine, to ensure good structure for your bag.
  • Lining: A lightweight cotton fabric (50-150 g/m²) will be ideal.

Ideas for creating the bag using upcycling:

  • You can reuse an old floral cotton curtain or a pair of damaged jeans. These materials will give your bag a unique touch.
  • If you are upcycling curtains, consider reusing the rings as loops for your strap (option 2).
