In the textile industry, production is often a complex issue. Brands try to produce the necessary quantity, but sometimes estimates are inaccurate, or the expected success doesn't materialize. This makes it difficult to sell off stock, which ends up remaining unused and accumulating. Like many other brands, Atelier Brunette faces this challenge and has implemented eco-responsible practices to address it: clearing out end-of-line stock, transforming certain scraps into pouches offered with orders, and more.
It is with this same vision that we have joined forces with Atelier Brunette to offer you a new sewing kit to help you sew the perfect dress for winter : the RE_Sourcée dress kit . This collaboration aims to revive, through Maéli, forgotten textiles from the Atelier Brunette collection.

The creative process
The collaborative work with Atelier Brunette began in January 2024 with a six-month creation and testing phase. Four dress designs were tested and refined, with valuable time spent perfecting every detail of our RE_Sourcée dress .
The choice of fabric
During the testing phase, we sewed three fabrics from Atelier Brunette's existing stock. We chose Candy Rock, a viscose with good drape. Simple and elegant with its colorful, irregular patterns, it adds a touch of dynamism. The contrast of bright colors against a dark background gives this fabric a modern and energetic look.
The RE_sourced dress
The RE_sourcée dress stands out with its wide, voluminous sleeves, adding a touch of elegance. Its clean, straight cut gives it a timeless style, perfect for becoming a wardrobe staple. The subtly open V-neck is finished with a bias-cut closure, adding a modern and original touch. It also features a belt for a cinched waist . We designed it so you can wear it all the time this holiday season.
The RE_sourced dress kit
You can now create your own version of the RE_Sourcée dress thanks to our Atelier Brunette x Maéli sewing kit. This all-inclusive kit includes: the pattern envelope, a step-by-step guide and video tutorial, as well as the fabric, invisible zipper, and fusible interfacing.
And for those who would like to create their own unique version by repurposing their own dormant material at the bottom of their closet, the RE_Sourcée dress is also available as a sewing pattern .
